Donna
Donna has helped WAN in our efforts to disseminate the Model Animal Welfare Act, the blueprint for a comprehensive animal welfare law which can be translated and adapted to local situations. Even Donna’s kids and furry kids have joined in the World Animal Day celebration!
Leah
Leah is our graphic design volunteer and designed our poster we presented on the Model Animal Welfare Act at last year’s Global Animal Welfare Conference, hosted by the World Organisation for Animal Health, as well as a number of other projects.
Amy
Amy is our copy editing volunteer, and proofreads many of the resources we develop, including the Model Animal Welfare Act in preparation for publishing as a book. Amy’s cat, SIX, plays a key role in overseeing all copyediting operations.
Meghna
Meghna, based in India, has helped WAN on a wide range of projects, including researching the contact details of animal protection organizations in the directory, assisting with social media, and updating the World Animal Net event calendar.
Wim and Species Survival Network Board
Wim, WAN’s Cofounder and Board Chair, attended the board meeting of the Species Survival Network (of which he is also on the board), and invited them to join in World Animal Day celebrations as well.
Django and Jazzy
Django (left) and Jazzy (right) comprise WAN’s office support team. Django ensures that staff partakes in regular snack breaks and Jazzy ensures that every once in a while staff stand up and stretch their wings.
Jessica
Jessica is WAN’s Executive Director, overseeing daily operations. She is grateful to her dedicated team of volunteers and WAN’s board members for sharing their time and expertise, ensuring that WAN meets and exceeds its goals every year.
