The Model Animal Welfare Act Book is Now Available—And It's the Perfect Gift

Written by

We are proud to announce that the Model Animal Welfare Act, released earlier this year for viewing and download on our website, is now available as a paperback book! We know exactly what you're thinking—just in time for the holidays!

Christmas - buy book

The full-color 131-page book is printed on recycled paper and contains an introduction and analysis of the current political and scientific context for animal welfare legislation, proposed wording for animal welfare legislation and policy, and explanatory notes which explain decisions in the proposed wording as well as alternatives which may also be considered depending on each country's situation. We would like to thank the International Fund for Animal WelfareWorld Wide Animal Rescue, and the Pegusus Foundation for their generous funding which made the printing of the book possible.

The Model Animal Welfare Act has been designed to serve as a basic template and guidance document for those interested in enacting new legislation or improving existing animal protection legislation. You can read more about the Model Animal Welfare Act (and watch our video about it), here. In a nutshell, the Model Animal Welfare Act is everything you need to create modern legislation to ensure that animal welfare is not only implemented and enforced, but also embedded as a common societal value. And that is something that I'm pretty sure every animal advocate is hoping for at this time of year.

What's even better is that with every purchase of the book, you help us cover international shipping costs to send the book to policymakers around the world, ensuring that this vital resource is in the hands of those who have the power to turn the pages of this book into a reality for animals in every country.

So, what are you waiting for? This season give the gift of knowledge, and empower the animal advocate in your life (or in you) to work towards policies to improve the lives of all animals, while at the same time making sure policymakers have access to this critical resource as well.

Purchase the book here. (Please allow 7-10 days for shipping).

Happy holidays, from World Animal Net!
