Description:	The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a regional organization comprised of ten Southeast Asian states.
Summary:	ASEAN was formed in 1967 to promote intergovernmental cooperation and facilitate economic integration among its members. Its principal goals include accelerating economic growth, social progress and socio-cultural evolution among its members, alongside the protection of regional stability and the provision of a mechanism for member countries to resolve differences peacefully. If ASEAN were a single entity, it would rank as the sixth largest economy in the world, behind the USA, China, Japan, Germany and the UK.

Advocacy Opportunities:
The Good Husbandry Practices work opens the possibility of developing good practice resources on AW in others areas. The work by the African Union (AU) could be used as an example in advocacy with ASEAN, in favor of the development of a RAWS/AW policy covering the REC.
