Two New Ways to Get the Model Animal Welfare Act Book

Written by

Earlier this year, our Model Animal Welfare Act book became available on our website for purchase. We want to ensure that maximum use is made of this valuable resource, especially as it is the culmination of almost four years of blood, sweat and tears! Researching and writing the Model Animal Welfare Act involved an extensive comparative law exercise, taking into account existing guidance and best practice in the field; with further refinement after consultation with leading law experts across the world. The end product is a template and guidance document for those interested in enacting new legislation or improving existing animal protection legislation; including best possible structures, systems and provisions to protect the welfare of animals.

book-bgWe’re now excited to announce two new ways you can have the Model Animal Welfare Act delivered to your door.

Our Model Animal Welfare Act was created just for you, and we want to make sure that it reaches as many change-makers as possible. If you are willing to distribute the Model Animal Welfare Act Book to policymakers, or if your team is working with stakeholders to create more effective animal protection legislation, we are pleased to announce new bulk orders which are available for the cost of shipping (for most countries, we can ship 16 books for the cost of 71.95 USD).

Purchase from Amazon

The Model Animal Welfare Act is also now available with free shipping for Prime members from Amazon! This is an exciting new distribution channel for the Model Animal Welfare Act, but we need your help, in two steps:

  • If you’ve been interested in the Model Animal Welfare Act, now is the best time to purchase! When you purchase through Amazon, this will demonstrate demand for the book, and propel Amazon to keep the Model Animal Welfare Act in their stock, allowing for quicker shipping for those who need the book.
  • If you find the book helpful, we encourage you to leave a positive review on Amazon, that way more animal advocates will find this resource!

How Does World Animal Net Use the Proceeds from Book Sales?

While we received generous funding from the International Fund for Animal Welfare, World Wide Animal Rescue, the Pettus Crowe Foundation and the Pegasus Foundation to have the book printed, we still need to distribute it to the appropriate policymakers and other change-makers across the world. The proceeds from sales of the book go directly to this endeavor—covering international shipping costs to send the book to World Organisation for Animal Health Delegates and Animal Welfare Focal Points, national Chief Veterinary Officers, national ministries and agencies responsible for regulating animal welfare, libraries and academic institutions.

We are also seeking donations to help us to continue using the Model Animal Welfare Act in our advocacy work to persuade and support the development and improvement of animal welfare laws across the world. You can donate securely through Network for Good here.

As always, thanks for your support and for working to make the world a kinder place for animals.
