Animal Protection in the Constitution of Ukraine

Authority Provision 
CHAPTER II: HUMAN AND CITIZENS’ RIGHTS, FREEDOMS AND DUTIES, Article 66

The Constitution declares that “ [e]veryone is obliged not to harm nature, cultural heritage and to compensate for any damage he or she inflicted.”

Per Article 138, “the rational utilization of nature, and environmental protection in accordance with national programs” is under the competence of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
